My lout of a husband killed me in 1926. I told that sot that he could never make that corner, but George never listened to me. He ran us smack into an oak and kiled us both. That's the worst part, of course. Death did not us part, and he refuses to admit that we aren't married any more, just because we died together.
I spent a decade or two wandering the earth, looking for cheap booze. I even fell in love with a human lover, who was inconsiderate enough to die of old age rather than permitting me to murder him. Eventually, I got bored and ascended to a higher plane.
But I've recently heard about a terrific bar at the end of the universe, and that has tempted me away from the higher planes. And I'm not going back until I've had another lifetime's worth of fun.
